SNAPSHOT OF OUR NEW IPC FAMILY PHYSICIAN: Dr Marina Barzilay

1) Why did you choose Paediatric Medicine?

First of all, because I like children, because of their uniqueness, a child is not a “small sized person”…

I also like the challenges of the different areas in paediatric medicine and because of the special ways you connect with children and their families

2) What is the kindest thing a patient has ever said to you or done for you?

Most of the time it it is their parents…”You have been the light at the end of the tunnel for me”, “We are happy to have met you and you have taken care of us in one of the most difficult times in our lives”

 3) What aspect of Paediatric medicine interests you most?

Child development

4) What do you like to do when you are not working?

Spend time with friends and family, scuba diving, ski, travel, go to the cinema/music concerts, read.

 5) What book are you currently reading?

“And the Mountain echoed” by Khaled Hosseini

6) Where did you spend your last vacation?

Italy, The Dolomites we spent the time skiing with family and friends.
