Adapting to Parenthood
Adjusting to parenthood has always been challenging. However, if you became a new parent in the past year, it’s likely that you’re facing even more hurdles than you ever expected. From travel restrictions to everyone working from home, ‘normal life’ certainly seems like a distant memory after a year into the pandemic. And when you add sleepless nights and a new little human into the equation, many simply long for the emotional and practical support from their friends and family.
If you are experiencing the challenges of adjusting to parenthood whilst also coping with COVID fatigue, you certainly are not alone. With no one able to give a definitive answer as to when things will open back up, many couples who should be experiencing the normal joys and challenges of parenthood are beginning to feel overwhelmed by the isolation COVID has caused. To help combat this, it’s important for new parents to seek out and find support.
The Adapting to Parenthood (early years) group covers issues known to be challenging for many parents worldwide. The course provides an opportunity to develop valuable self-awareness, insight and tools to help you adjust to parenthood, especially considering the current times we live in. This course is aimed at mothers who wish to prepare emotionally for some of the challenges that parenthood may bring or for those who are already experiencing the emotional challenges of adjusting to parenthood.
In the group, you will be participating alongside other mothers like yourself seeking to navigate their way through the challenges of early parenthood in these times. Learning with others going through similar experiences can provide support and connection that is proven to be helpful.
