We Care
We are passionate about healthcare and have been supporting Caring for Cambodia as our designated charity for over 8 years. Caring for Cambodia (CFC) is a non-profit, non-governmental, charitable organization committed to ensuring a high-quality education for 6,400 children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. CFC trains teachers, provides clean, child-friendly classrooms and delivers health and welfare support.
Our staff visit the various CFC schools on multiple occasions throughout the year to deliver healthcare support. We are currently raising funds to assist with buying hygiene products for the children in Covid19 times. Please click here and give what you can.
Vision and Health Checks
Each child is administered a vision test to identify those who may need corrective treatment. Students identified as needing further evaluation are brought to the Eye Clinic at Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap. Here, they receive appropriate treatment and eyeglasses if necessary. Further to vision screenings, we check the height and weight of every student to identify any underweight children.
First Aid training
In addition to the health checks, we also conduct First Aid training to the teachers and staff of the CFC schools and the surrounding local communities. Our trained nurses also deliver health alerts and updates (for example, we discussed the Zika virus in our last trip).
