New to Singapore? Don’t forget about Vaccinations

1 August, 2019 by International Medical Clinic

At IMC we promote healthy living and recognise vaccinations are a key part of protecting health. There are diseases that you can be vaccinated against and these may differ from those issued in your home country. A consultation with your doctor is always necessary as requirements differ between individuals however we suggest the following:

 Routine Vaccinations (Highly Recommended)

The following are considered routine vaccinations for living in Singapore:

  • Diptheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (whooping cough)
  • Polio
  • Haemophilus influenza Type B (Hib)*
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • BCG (against Tuberculosis)*
  • Pneumococcal*

Recommended Vaccinations

  • Rotavirus*
  • Seasonal flu
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • HPV*

Special Situations

  • Meningococcal B
  • Meningococcal C
  • Meningococcal 23

*suitable for certain patients only.

A consultation with your doctor is always necessary as requirements may differ between individuals. If you are not sure what you or your family have or do not have come in for a consultation (ideally with your vaccination schedule books) and we can assist.
