International Medical Clinic (IMC) specialises in family, paediatric and travel medicine. IMC has provided medical care in Singapore for over 17 years and is the first choice medical provider for the international community.
Dr Vino trained at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, attaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2016. After that, she returned home to Singapore and worked in various public healthcare institutions before moving to family practice and urgent care. Over the years, she has gained invaluable experience in multiple specialties, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery, and geriatrics.
Dr Vino has a keen interest in providing holistic care to women. She is passionate about addressing their physical, emotional and psychological needs. She has presented her work at international gynaecological conferences in the United Kingdom and Singapore. Her work has also been published in the Eurasian Journal of Emergency Medicine. Dr Vino is also skilled in performing minor surgeries and procedures. In addition, she has vast experience managing various lumps, bumps, lacerations and minor fractures.
Dr Vino was awarded the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine by the National University of Singapore. Aside from English, Dr Vino also speaks Tamil.
Dr Megha has worked alongside children since 2008, when she came to Singapore from India. Paediatrics has been her passion since Medical School. Over the next 14 years, she gained a rich experience in the various fields of Paediatrics. She cleared the accreditation examinations to become a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK and attained her Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics Singapore in 2014. Her training included children from birth to 18 years of age, and she had a special interest in Adolescent Medicine.
After successfully getting board accredited for Paediatrics, Dr Megha further trained in Neonatology over the next five years. She practised as an Associate Consultant in Neonatology, leading her team in caring for newborns – including premature babies, multiple births, and babies with congenital disorders. Her interests in the NICU were around the growth and nutrition of premature babies, but her real love in Neonatology centres around the “well baby”. The term encompasses a healthy full-term baby, but through her training and own experience as a mother, Dr Megha felt strongly about the challenging waters ahead for babies and mothers after childbirth and spent time motivating, educating and empowering new parents.
She is also a lecturer and tutor for various MBBS students and was awarded “Best Teacher” merits over the years. In addition, she was passionately involved in Neonatal Resuscitation workshops where she taught doctors and nurses as a core team faculty.
Dr Megha’s care motto when it comes to Paediatrics is for the child and parent to take ownership of the child’s health, and relies heavily on empowering them with more knowledge, less medication and a lot of love.
Dr Kym attained her medical degree with honours from Monash University and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners. Dr Kym has almost ten years of clinical experience in Australia and underwent further training in women’s and sexual health with Sexual Health Victoria. She also has additional training with Cancer Council Victoria in dermatology and skin cancer.
She has obtained a National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health from Sexual Health Victoria and is accredited for intrauterine device (IUD) and Implanon insertion and removal. She also regularly performs other minor procedures such as iron infusions and skin excisions.
Dr Karien de Groof completed her medical training in Erasmus University, Rotterdam in 2009 and has worked as a resident in Paediatrics, Internal Medicine and Cardiology. In 2013 she completed her General Medicine training at the Medical Faculty in Erasmus, University of Rotterdam.
Dr Karien has worked as a GP in various practices in the Netherlands before moving to Geneva, Switzerland. In Geneva she worked as a doctor for an emergency home visit service and practiced as a GP in a medical center.
Dr Karien has completed additional training in trauma support, travel medicine, sports based medicine and nutrition.
In 2019 she moved to Singapore with her husband and two children. Dr Karien speaks Dutch and French fluently.
Dr Emily is a UK-trained GP who graduated from Oxford University in 2004. She was educated in France prior to medical school and speaks fluent English and French. She initially trained in general hospital medicine and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2008. Following this, Dr Kara decided to retrain as a GP. She became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2014 whilst working in a busy GP surgery in Notting Hill, London. She is still registered with the General Medical Council (GMC UK) and licensed to practice in North-West London.
Dr Kara moved with her husband and two children to China in 2014 and provided healthcare to the English and French-speaking expatriate communities in Beijing and Shanghai, where she had strong ties with Harrow International School (Beijing) and the Lycée Francais (Shanghai). She enjoyed teaching and was appointed the Deputy Director of the Family Medicine Fellowship Program at Jiahui International Hospital, Shanghai, in 2021. She relocated with her family to Singapore in the summer of 2022.
Dr Kara’s experience includes the management of both chronic diseases (thyroid disease, diabetes, asthma) and more acute medical concerns (infections, minor injuries). In addition, she has extensive experience helping patients with mental health conditions and has helped many expatriates cope with anxiety and depression. With a diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG), she can provide gynaecology check-ups, including cancer screening (pap smears, breast exams), STD (sexually transmitted disease) screening and can give contraceptive advice. She also has experience in helping women through menopause. Dr Kara strongly believes in continuity of care and spends time getting to know her patients to provide holistic care for the whole family.
Dr Catherine Phan is an Australian doctor who graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2007. She has worked in several urban and rural hospitals including further training in emergency and critical care before pursuing general practice, obtaining her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.
Previously based in Sydney, Dr Phan has worked as a GP for the past six years at a busy Sydney practice. She finds privilege caring for her patients from cradle to grave and from all cultural backgrounds. Dr. Dex Khor graduated from University College London in 1999 and later obtained Membership of the UK Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Dr Dex worked in hospitals in London, Oxford, Birmingham, Leicester and Reading in Paediatric and Neonatal wards before returning to Singapore.
Dr Dex continued his interest in children’s medicine in KK Children’s Hospital where he worked for seven years in various departments, including Emergency, Allergy, Dermatology, Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine. For the past six years, Dr Dex has had various GP postings and has been a regular volunteer with the Singapore Grand Prix Medical Team since 2017.

Dr Shivani Paliwal is Board Certified in Paediatrics (Paediatrics, United States) 2015. During her 15+ years of valuable experience, she has practiced in hospital settings in clinics as well as in high-intensity emergency rooms in New York and New Jersey. She has been providing medical care for a diverse variety of paediatric illnesses, ranging from simple ailments and well child care to various orthopaedic and complex paediatric emergencies at her work in Level 1 Trauma centres.
Dr Shivani loves her role as an educator and was a Professor of Paediatrics at RWJ School of Medicine at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago (USA). For over 6 years she practiced in Paediatrics in busy private clinics in both Illinois and Indiana (USA) before relocating to Singapore in 2017. Dr Eldridge is a UK doctor who graduated from Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London UK in 1998. He intercalated this with a degree in Psychology. His main interest at the time was surgical and he attained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in 2002.
Dr Eldridge became a partner in a busy suburban London NHS practice for 5 years undertaking medicals and travel advice as well as working in corporate private clinics. Dr Eldridge relocated to Melbourne in 2012, to further his clinical experience. This involved working for a busy clinic providing emergency and operative care to the community. Dr Laura Biffin trained at the University of Sydney, Australia, attaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2015. She completed her medical training at St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst and Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in rural New South Wales before moving to Singapore. Dr Hina Kadwani graduated from Imperial College London UK in 2011. She did her intercalated BSc in Management with Health Management. Her initial clinical training was in general hospital medicine in London, and she gained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2013. Dr Kadwani then decided on a career in General Practice and started her training in London in 2015, achieving her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2018.
After completing her speciality training, Dr Kadwani worked as a GP in a busy part of North London, working in a practice as well as doing Out of Hours (OOH) triage work. She held additional roles in teaching medical students from University College London both in practice and on campus through Women’s Health teaching workshops, as well as a management GP role involved in quality improvement projects. During this time, she also completed her DFSRH training and contraceptive implant training. Dr Lim was awarded her Masters in Family Medicine in 1999, is a Council Member of the College of Family Physicians, and a tutor and examiner in the Graduate Diploma in the Family Medicine Programme. Dr Lim has been with IMC since 2002 and is the Medical Director, based at the Jelita Clinic.
Dr Mélissandre Noël is a Canadian doctor who graduated from the University of Montreal in 2009, and went on to complete a residency in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia (2011). She then pursued extra training in obstetrics and newborn care. She practiced in a full service family practice clinic in Vancouver, Canada for 5 years prior to her relocation to Singapore. During that time, part of her practice included maternity care and delivering babies. She also ran dedicated youth clinics, providing mental, sexual and reproductive health services to adolescents.
Dr. Morgan is a UK-qualified doctor who graduated from Kings College School of Medicine and Dentistry in London. Her initial training was in general internal (i.e. hospital general) medicine and she gained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). She then embarked on a career in General Practice, training as a GP in London. Dr. Morgan gained her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners with distinction (MRCGP) and was selected to train further as a GP with Special Interest in Dermatology. She also holds a Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP) and a Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (DipDerm).
Dr. Morgan practiced in London and Manchester for 8 years before moving to Singapore in 2008, where she continued to practice as a GP in an international clinic, primarily serving the expatriate community. Being a ‘third culture kid’ herself, she understands the positive experience as well as challenges that face the expatriate community. Dr. Charu is a family practitioner who has trained and worked in the UK prior to moving to Singapore. She graduated from Pondicherry University, India in 1995 and was pursuing a paediatric career for over 3 years before moving to the UK in 1998. She continued training in Paediatrics and Neonatology in the UK in various hospitals and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, (MRCPCH, London) in 2001.
In 2001, she chose to change career paths and started her General Practice training in the UK. She then practiced as a GP in Cardiff, Wales from 2005 – 2011. She moved to Singapore in 2011 and has practiced for many years at a clinic serving mainly the expatriate population in Singapore.
During her career, she obtained a Diploma in Family planning (UK), a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK). Stress is a huge factor in many expat families’ lives and Charu enjoys using her experience to approach disease in a holistic fashion and places emphasis on prevention. Having been located near a few international schools, she has gained valuable experience in dealing with children of all ages and their families recognizing the close link between physical and mental health.

Dr Smith graduated from University of Southampton in 2009. Dr Smith has a interest in diabetes and went on to attain a Certificate in Diabetes in Primary Care at King’s College Hospital in 2012 where she also worked in a tertiary diabetes clinic. She worked in General Surgery in East Kent in 2014 and has also worked in Palliative Care whilst a GP for over 2 years in 2016-17.
Dr Smith became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2017 and was practicing in the rural hub of a busy Canterbury practice in England prior to moving to Singapore with her family in 2018. Dr King is a UK trained family doctor who has many years experience in women’s and children’s health. A graduate of the University of Dundee Medical School (2002), Dr King became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) with Merit in 2006. She has worked as a GP for 11 years, initially as a partner within a busy urban medical practice in Scotland for over 7 years. During this time she was a GP trainer for trainee doctors as well as mentoring 4th year medical students from Glasgow University.
Through a developing interest in women’s health Dr. King gained the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Diploma of Child Health in UK (2004) and became a member of the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare (2005).
