Meet Dr Lim Hui Ling

Dr Lim has practiced at IMC since 2002 and is the Medical Director of IMC, based at the Jelita Clinic. A graduate of the National University of Singapore in 1993. Dr Lim was awarded her Masters in Family Medicine in 1999. She is the Honorary Assistant Secretary of the College of Family Physicians and also sits on various Ministry of Health Committees. She was also a tutor and examiner in the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine Programme since its inception. Despite these responsibilities, she is happiest sitting down in consultations with a patient. During her training, she rotated through various hospital and primary care departments from paediatrics to geriatrics, surgery and ENT to mental health.

Dr Lim believes in patient-centred collaborative care and preventive care. Her consultations involve listening to patients’ ideas and expectations and addressing their concerns with the most appropriate medical advice.
