Welcome to International Medical Clinic (IMC). Thank you for choosing us for your healthcare needs. As a patient of IMC, our Doctors, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Assistants and Medical Receptionists will strive to provide the best medical care together with exceptional service.
We would like to take this opportunity to explain some of the principles by which our clinics operate.
IMC operates on an appointment-based system to reduce waiting times. Please call our clinic to make an appointment before visiting to ensure a suitable time is allocated for your requirements. We will do our best to see patients with appointments on time, but if unavoidable delays occur, our staff will keep you informed of the situation. Upon making your appointment, you will be asked to tell us about the nature of your visit. This allows us to ascertain certain facts, or plan for other associated in-clinic services such as, but not limited to the following; allocating the appropriate time required to complete any necessary paperwork, or advising on the possible need for fasting, or perhaps deciding on the necessity to see a nurse prior to your consultation with a doctor. If you are uncomfortable with giving such information, please estimate the time you feel is required for your visit.
2. Consultation charges
Our consultation charges are based on the nature of your consultation. Your doctor can explain these charges and any other charges such as pharmaceuticals and diagnostic tests at the end of the consultation. Our consultation fee policy is displayed at the reception area in each of our clinics. Your bill will be itemised to show each charge separately. Please note that you may also request for a summary bill, which does not include these details. For more information regarding IMC services and fees, please refer to our price list displayed in our clinic reception area.
3. Insurance Direct Billing
IMC has agreements with a range of global insurance groups and medical assistance companies that work with us to offer a direct billing service to our patients. We deal directly with the insurance company to obtain payment based on your coverage. Please ask our Medical Receptionists about the insurance companies that offer direct billing arrangements with IMC. If your insurance company does not currently provide this service through IMC, at your direction, we may be able to approach your insurance company and attempt to establish a direct billing relationship. If you do not wish to utilise our direct billing service, full payment must be made after the completion of your appointment.

5. Infectious Disease Act
In accordance with Section 6 of the Infectious Diseases Act (Cap. 137), every medical practitioner who has reason to believe or suspect that any person attended to or treated by him or her is suffering from an infectious disease or is a carrier of that disease, shall notify the Ministry of Health (MOH) within the prescribed time and in such form or manner as the MOH may require.
IMC offers dispensing of pharmaceuticals from our internal dispensary in accordance with established practices in Singapore. It is our policy to utilise drugs by recognised manufacturers in original packaging wherever possible to provide the greatest confidence in the quality and effectiveness of said pharmaceuticals. Consequently, prices may be higher than other generic drugs. If requested we can provide you with a written prescription should you wish to obtain your medications from an external dispensary.
7. Additional Services
IMC offers both in-clinic and third party services. Our Medical Receptionist will arrange and bill for any additional service that you may be required to undertake outside of our clinic. These services include, but are not limited to: Pathology, Radiology, Imaging, Cardiac and Audiometry services. Prepayment of these services will be completed at the end of your appointment with IMC. No additional payment will be required to the third party provider on completion of these services. Our Medical Receptionist will also assist in arranging referral appointments for you; please let your Doctor or Medical Receptionist know should you wish to use this service.
